Question 1: Where will my lesson start and finish?
Answer: Your instructor will normally drive to your home, and the lesson will start from there. But if there is somewhere more convenient for you, then please tell us, and providing it is within our normal area we will do our best to fit in with your request.

Question 2: Can I start from school, college or work?
Answer: Yes. You can start your lesson from pretty much anywhere and then end up at home, providing of course that both are within our normal area.

Question 3: How long is each lesson?
Answer: Lessons are normally for 2 hours but we can do an hour or 90 minutes if you prefer, it’s up to you. Some driving schools quote lesson prices for a 50 minute lesson. All our prices are for a full hour.

Question 4: How many lessons will I need?
Answer: We are all different, so there is no easy answer to this question. The DSVA say that on average it takes between 40-50 hours of professional training to pass the driving test. In practice some people take less and some more.
We will give you the training you need, but we certainly won’t persuade you to do more if it’s not necessary. We will encourage you, where possible, to practice between lessons with an experienced family member.

Question 5: Will there be anyone else in the car?
Answer: No. Our training is always one to one, so there won’t be anyone else sitting in on your lesson unless you request it (parent, friend, etc)

Question 6: Will I keep the same driving instructor?
Answer: Yes, most of our clients stay with the same instructor, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Question 7: What happens if I don’t get on with my Driving instructor?
Answer: You can talk to the BTI Driving office, and we will do our best to place you with another instructor as soon as possible.

Question 8: How do I pay for my driving lessons?
Answer: Pay your instructor direct most take cheque, cash and online banking.

Question 9: Can you guarantee that I will pass my driving test first time?
Answer: No. The only way we could be sure everyone will pass first time, would be for us to give you many more lessons than necessary, and then you are likely to be paying far more than you need.
